European Standards and Indicators
European Health Promoting Schools Standards & Indicators address a need for accessible and usable quality standards that fill the gap between what is the current practice in health-promoting schools and what would be the optimal practice in health-promoting schools across different European countries and different national health-promoting school models.
European Standards and Indicators constitute a useful tool for improving the education, health, and well-being of children and young people, and future generations. They point in the right direction and best practices and goals, according to what has been commonly agreed among experts in the field.
Revision of European Standards and Indicators is proceeding
In 2020, according to the SHE workplan, a task group was designated to provide feedback on the European Standards and Indicators for Health Promoting Schools as the document was designed as an adaptable monitoring tool with a view of developing, upscaling and sustaining existing and emerging strategies and practices.
