A one-size-fits-all approach for creating health promoting schools does not exist – the approach should be adapted to a school’s context by tailoring it on seven spectra on which schools can navigate. Little is known about the implementation of the HPS on these spectra in SHE member countries. The seven spectras are identified in SHE's factsheet no. 5 on Health Promoting Schools from 2019.
By interviewing researchers and professionals, Floor Severens, student at Maastricht University in the Nederlands, aimes to qualitatively explore the place of schools in SHE-member countries or regions on the spectra and the perceived barriers and facilitators of implementation.
